
Acquisitions Specialist

The Procurement Officer role involves overseeing the efficient management of a council's stores function.
Key responsibilities include developing a consistent approach to sourcing, purchasing, and tendering activities while ensuring optimal value for money and minimizing costs.
This position supports the council's policy commitments, including local procurement initiatives.
- Sound knowledge of procurement and stores management with proven cost control, record keeping, and computer skills.
- WorkCover WH&S Construction Induction (White Card).
- A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
- A Class C Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated effective communication and customer service skills.
- Proven numeracy skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of WH&S.
Candidates should possess:
A strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
