Senior Social Worker Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Social Worker to fill this vital role in the North Queensland Region. As part of the Wellbeing Workforce, you will play a pivotal role in delivering mental health and wellbeing support and assistance to students and their families.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team and make a meaningful contribution to the lives of students and their families.

  • Deliver individual and group counselling and therapeutic interventions with students, parents, and families.
  • Administer specialized psycho-educational assessments of students with learning and/or adjustment difficulties.
  • Coordinate or assist in the implementation of professional in-service training programs for teachers, parents, schools, and other professionals.
  • Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school response team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
