As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals living with mental illness to live the life they choose. You will work alongside customers with varying support needs to provide tailored person-centered services and activities of their choice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health or relevant qualifications.">
  • Relevant experience in mental health community support.">
  • NDIS experience.">
  • A proven capacity to deal with challenging issues.">
  • A genuine commitment to working with people experiencing mental illness.">
  • Highly developed innovative and creative thinking abilities, problem solving abilities, compassion, empathy and professionalism.">
  • Ability to be resourceful, creative and adaptable within role boundaries.">
  • Understanding of the person-centred approach.">
  • Confidentiality and diversity awareness.">
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently comfortably.">
  • Effective listening skills and ability to share practical information in an appropriate and respectful manner.">
  • A safety first approach for yourself and the client.">
  • Strong administrative skills (Microsoft packages, word processing, email and internet).">
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.">
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate.">
