About the Position

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our casual library support team. As a library assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting our team to deliver excellent customer service and engaging programs for people of all ages.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver welcoming and inclusive service to all community members
  • Assist with daily library operations, including shelving books and managing collections
  • Support programs and events, such as children's storytime and author talks
  • Help patrons use technology and digital resources
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for libraries and community engagement
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence using technology and digital resources
  • Flexibility to work across different shifts and service areas
  • An interest in literacy, learning, or community programming

We welcome applications from individuals who are adaptable, eager to learn, and committed to delivering exceptional results. Previous library or customer service experience is an advantage but not essential.
