Cromulence LLC, a cutting-edge cybersecurity company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Vulnerability Researcher to join our team.

This role will play a critical part in advancing our nation's cybersecurity capabilities through innovative research and development.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team structure to deliver successful program capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead teams of engineers, data analysts, and developers to identify customer problems and develop solutions using instrumentation and automation.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, setting the standard for excellence and growth opportunities.
  • Manage customer relationships across programs, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and user needs are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience with team leadership expertise.
  • Proficiency in reverse engineering various architectures and platforms, including x86/64, ARM, MIPS, etc.
  • Experience with disassemblers (IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, Ghidra), common exploitation countermeasures (DEP, ASLR), and countermeasure defeats (ROP programming).
  • Knowledge of operating systems and applications to understand strengths and weaknesses in design and implementation.
  • Ability to model in-memory compiled application behavior.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, etc.), software development using C or C++, and RTOS.
  • A current U.S. government security clearance is required; applicants must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information, with U.S. Citizenship as a requirement.
Bonus Skills:
  • Experience with software protection and binary analysis.
  • Familiarity with modern exploitation techniques, tools, and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of hypervisors.
  • Malware analysis expertise.
  • Ability to analyze network protocols throughout all layers of the network stack.
  • Background in software engineering and architecture.
  • Understanding and/or development of kernel modules.
