Job Title: Principal Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Solutions Architect to lead the transformation of our Payment Systems, specifically BECS (Bulk Electronic Clearing System).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and ITIL based Change Management process.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and possess strong stakeholder communication skills.
  • Have a proven background in Software Development, Promotion, Deployment, and Maintenance, and an understanding of the tools used to achieve this.
  • Represent the organisation at industry and customer forums.
  • Develop solutions for critical high availability and performance systems.
  • Drive Architectural Certification process to completion for key project deliverables.
  • Oversee and ensure consistency with other associated architectural work being delivered in related projects.
  • Identify and document dependencies with other projects/systems.
  • Advocate for the need for the implementation and monitoring of ongoing controls in Delivery/Change Framework.
  • Develop/document/recommend access management and span of control across varying IT operating models.
Desirable Skills:
  • Detailed and working knowledge of NPP products and ISO20022 messaging standards.
  • Understanding of Australia's payment systems - namely BECS (Bulk Electronic Clearing System) and NPP (New Payments Platform).
  • Banking/Fin Tech experience.
  • Working experience in modern application architecture and patterns such as Microservice, Observer, Event Driven pattern, etc.
  • Experience designing cloud-based solutions using Saa S, Paa S, and Iaa S; Azure cloud platform experience is preferable.
  • Working knowledge of information security considerations associated with the application architecture.
