Senior Culinary Leader

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Culinary Leader to join our team and contribute to the success of our kitchen operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will work closely with the Head Chef to drive culinary excellence and provide mentorship to junior staff.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef or senior chef looking to take their career to the next level. You will be responsible for managing your designated kitchen section to a high standard, supervising and mentoring junior team members, creating and delivering daily specials, and contributing positively to team culture.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage your designated kitchen section to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Create and deliver daily specials that showcase your culinary skills and creativity.
  • Support stock control, ordering, and inventory management to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Uphold WHS, HACCP, and food safety standards at all times.
  • Step up to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You must also hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum) and possess strong English communication skills (written and spoken). A proven ability to prioritize tasks under pressure and inspire and mentor junior staff is essential.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum).
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • A proven leader who can inspire and mentor junior staff.
