About this role

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing safe shunting duties, marshalling locomotives and rail wagons in preparation for departure, and providing critical communications to incoming and outgoing rail services.

About the opportunity

You will work a 24/7 forward rotating roster, averaging 38 hours per week. The position may require shift coverage at multiple terminals over the roster cycle.

About you
  • To succeed in this role, you must be a proactive team player who enjoys a challenge. This requires a responsible individual who can efficiently and safely undertake all required tasks.
  • A full driver's license is essential.
  • General computer proficiency is required.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, prioritization of workloads, and adaptability in a changing work environment are also crucial.
  • Previous experience in heavy industry, logistics, or transport would be advantageous.
  • A mechanical, processing, or similar background is desirable.
