Key Role:

A skilled Shipwright and Dockings Manager is required to provide technical expertise for safe vessel operation and maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute docking projects from scope development through to completion.
  • Apply shipwright expertise to vessel maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure compliance with maritime regulations.
  • Liaise warranty processes and oversee quality assurance documentation.
  • Support engineering investigations and coordinate with vessel crews.
  • Direct schedule management and cost control for dockings.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • A minimum Certificate III Trade qualification (Shipwright or related) and relevant licenses.
  • Extensive maritime experience, with at least three years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in shipwright, vessel docking, or marine trades.
  • Knowledge of RAN operations and asset maintenance practices.
  • Competence in MS Office and Asset Management Systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A current First Aid Certificate.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
