Job Title: Business Development Director

Aware Super is one of Australia's largest profit-for-members superannuation funds. We work to reimagine a new way forward for our 1.1 million members and their communities.

This role will play a pivotal part in driving customer acquisition through strategic partnerships, including direct-to-consumer marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships that drive customer acquisition and enhance market presence.
  • Work closely with Acquisition teams to ensure partnership goals are aligned with overall business objectives and marketing strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and compliance with company policies.
  • Regularly monitor, analyse, and report on the performance and impact of partnerships, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies.
  • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities that align with growth objectives.
  • Oversight of operational activities to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth partnership operations.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks related to partnerships and customer acquisition.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Design, or Technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in partnership management or business development, preferably within direct-to-consumer environments.
  • In-depth understanding of direct-to-consumer marketing strategies and how partnerships can enhance these efforts.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with partners and internal teams.
  • Ten or more years of experience in Marketing / Digital Marketing / IT, preferably within financial services with leadership responsibilities.
  • Broad knowledge of the Superannuation industry.
