The Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Director to lead our sales team in Melbourne Metro. This is a unique opportunity to build your own team from scratch and establish work processes that drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.


About the Role


As Regional Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of Territory Managers to achieve and exceed their monthly and annual financial objectives. You will also lead the team to execute against Suntory's category, channel, and customer strategies, and develop strategic sales plans to expand distribution, visibility, and share of brands to increase revenue.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead, mentor, motivate, and develop a team of Territory Managers to achieve and exceed their monthly and annual financial objectives (generally 7-10 TM's)
  • Lead the team to execute against Suntory's Category, Channel, and Customer strategies
  • Support the team in growing new business in the on-premise sector
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand distribution, visibility, and share of brands to increase revenue
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry associations
  • Coach and provide timely feedback to team members on individual and team development objectives as well as career role progression
  • Champion Safety and ensure everyone gets home safe every day
  • Champion and bring to life by example Suntory's leadership spirits and behaviors

Requirements and Qualifications:


We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong track record of success in a similar role. You will have exceptional coaching skills, experience in leading and inspiring a team to deliver strong results, and a proven ability to manage targets, build new accounts, and negotiate with stakeholders. A strong analytical capability to navigate sales data into actionable insights is essential. Experience within the liquor industry is highly advantageous.
