Senior Engineering Manager

This role is a critical part of our technology team, responsible for leading the engineering efforts for our scaling payroll platform. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in senior engineering management, ideally with a large and geographically diverse engineering team.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader who can drive innovation and transformation in a fast-paced environment. They will have a strong understanding of software engineering best practices and the ability to mentor and develop their team members.

The role will involve:

  • Leading the engineering efforts for our scaling payroll platform
  • Mentoring and developing delivery leads and other team members
  • Unifying squads through the creation of an innovative, high-performance culture with effective fit-for-purpose ways of working

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Ensure platform uptime and performance exceed documented service level agreements
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product management to align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs
  • Team leadership and development, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and high performance
  • Technical and domain expertise, engaging in deep technical discussions with stakeholders
  • Stakeholder engagement, building trusted partnerships with business and technical stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement, identifying and implementing efficiency and quality improvements
