Operational Readiness Specialist

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a leading manufacturing business, working on a highly interesting project.

The position will be based in the Northern part of Melbourne and is a long term, full time contract role.

Job Description:

To conduct and coordinate engineering activities for the facility expansion project and ensure effective handover of the project to routine operations.

  • Ensure that when the plant is handed over it is safe, reviewing maintenance
  • Input into the project throughout process
  • Engineering and maintenance functions, factor acceptance testing site installation and commissioning
  • Focusing on maintenance - preventative maintenance, spare parts assessments
  • Failure mode analysis - assessing what can be done to prevent failures
  • A conduit between project and site engineering functions
  • Work with the maintenance team to ensure decisions made are in the best interest of engineering function and alignment with other facilities
  • Work with the SAP data entry and E&I team

Requirements:
  • Degree in an appropriate discipline (mechanical, electrical, chemical or other related discipline) from a recognised tertiary education institution
  • Eligibility for professional membership of the relevant college of the Institute of Engineers
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Maintenance/Process Engineering
  • Experience/exposure to Capital Projects or Pharmaceuticals manufacture (cGxP systems)
  • GMP Experience
