Project Lead Role Overview

The position of Project Lead involves overseeing the on-site delivery of various construction projects, including fire compliance upgrades, facade repairs, and water ingress fixes.

As a seasoned leader, you will be responsible for managing multiple live sites across different projects, ensuring safe and high-quality delivery in line with program standards and compliance requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage daily site operations and subcontractor coordination.
  • Maintain workplace health and safety (WHS) standards and conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
  • Oversee program scheduling, daily targets, and short-term lookaheads.
  • Monitor site quality, compliance, and contract specifications.
  • Coordinate trades, deliveries, inspections, and defects close-out.
  • Collaborate with project managers on claims, variations, and progress reporting.
  • Represent the organization with clients, consultants, and building stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Project Lead in residential or commercial construction.
  • A solid understanding of Class 2 building practices, design and construct (D&C) delivery, and live-site coordination.
  • Experience with remediation, upgrades, or complex retrofit projects is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Loop, SharePoint, or similar project management platforms.
  • White Card and relevant construction tickets.
