Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join an innovative team of industry leaders in transport, working on one of the most exciting high-profile projects in the country.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage all contractual and commercial aspects of the project, including contract administration, claims mitigation, and compliance to ensure adherence and conformance of contract delivery requirements and best practice governance.
  2. Understand contract ramifications and draw on your own strategic and commercial thinking to run short, medium and long-term strategies.
  3. Employ a proactive risk management approach to identify and anticipate current and potential risks, develop risk mitigation strategies as required and attend project risk meetings.
  4. Contribute to and review project reporting and financial management as required, including Project Reports, Board papers, Project Steering Committee Reports, payment claims and business cases and presentations to internal stakeholders on project commercial matters as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You're an experienced Commercial Manager, (or in a similar role) and you've managed the Principal-Contractor relationship together with downstream contracts within a 'PPP' model or similar.

You can read and understand complex commercial contracts and interpret and apply legislation.

You're commercially astute with a proactive approach to managing risk, with experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, understanding and interpreting detailed construction contracts, commercial terms and financial data.
