Job Title: Senior Governance Specialist

As a senior member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative fiscal reform initiatives and providing strategic advice to ensure the sustainability of the state's finances.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment with expertise in consulting, strategy development, financial due diligence, and analysis, or program and policy evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and evaluate government expenditure, organisational structures, and service delivery to identify fiscal sustainability and strategic reform opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough qualitative and quantitative analysis, including in-depth analysis of agency budgets.
  • Support project management including planning and documenting detailed activities, timeframes, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide specialist advice for shaping and driving strategy and policy for fiscal improvement opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation by participating in team events, training sessions, and other activities.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, accounting, finance, law, business, public policy, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to apply critical-thinking and problem-solving skills within a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in project management and building robust stakeholder relationships.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to senior stakeholders.
