About the Role:

As a Family Safety Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to respond to reports of safety concerns surrounding children or young people who may have been harmed. You will work collaboratively with parents, family members, children or young people, and other agencies to develop safety plans and provide support to ensure their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work sensitively and respectfully with families to identify and address safety concerns
  • Develop and implement safety plans to prevent harm to children or young people
  • Collaborate with other agencies to provide comprehensive support to families
  • Manage complex cases and situations involving high-risk clients and their families
  • Participate in court processes, including preparation of court documents and attendance at court

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to build positive working relationships with families and other stakeholders. A relevant degree in Social Work or a related field is essential, along with practical experience working with vulnerable children and families.
