About the Role

We are seeking experienced child protection specialists with a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking assessments to identify and address safety and risk concerns for children and young people. They will also engage in collaborative practice that acknowledges and respects the culture and context of each child, young person and their carers/family.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders to provide holistic and coordinated services.
  • Maintaining accurate and objective client records.
  • Participating in continuous learning and professional development to ensure contemporary practice knowledge and skills.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in statutory child protection services or within statutory investigation services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver's licence (P1 or above).
  • A paid working with children clearance number.
