Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, they will be eligible for generous achievement incentives, including salary packaging options, birthday leave, loyalty leave, corporate private health cover, employee assistance program, and special discounts on memberships and fitness activities.

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Career Advancement Specialist to join our team in Mount Gambier. As an Employment Coach, you will actively engage with participants to overcome career challenges, develop essential skills, and achieve their employment goals.

  • Provide one-to-one coaching sessions to participants, assessing their career needs, and creating personalised action plans.
  • Conduct career assessments and help clients identify their strengths, interests, and values to guide their employment goals.
  • Use sales strategies to work collaboratively and network with community organisations to create opportunities for participants.
  • Assist participants in developing effective job search strategies, including resume writing and interview preparation.
  • Refer participants through training, counselling, and other services to increase long-term employment outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in customer service, client-facing, or an administrative role.
  • Time management, organisational skills, and the ability to plan and prioritise to achieve outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills with well-developed verbal and written skills, and the ability to conduct client assessments, develop case plans, and case notes and reports.
  • Interpersonal conflict resolution and negotiation skills, along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions to problems.
  • Ability to develop relationships with employers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent computer skills.
