As a Young People Mentor, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of young people.

We take a comprehensive approach to understanding your skills and interests to match you with young people whose needs and personalities align with yours, ensuring an enjoyable and impactful mentorship experience.

You will be responsible for providing individualized support to young people, focusing on their goals and needs, as well as assisting with transporting them to school or community activities, accompanying them during contact visits with family members, and helping establish and maintain routines within families experiencing adversity.

To ensure the best possible outcomes for our participants, we require strong English speaking and literacy skills. Relevant certifications and experience are also highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to young people, focusing on their goals and needs
  • Assist with transporting young people to school or community activities
  • Accompany young people during contact visits with family members
  • Help establish and maintain routines within families experiencing adversity
  • Support young people in 24-hour/7-day care

Requirements:

  • Current Employee Working with Children Check
  • Clear Criminal History Check
  • NDIS worker screening (NDIS Worker Check)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Reliable clean vehicle and valid NSW driver license
