Job Overview

We're seeking a seasoned Operational Risk Manager to join our team and drive excellence in risk management.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic thinker with a proven track record in operational risk management to make a meaningful impact.

  • Design, enhance, implement, and own the Operational Risk Management Framework in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure effective risk management capability is built and sustained to review, challenge, oversee, and assure accountability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive operational risk metrics, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

You will play a crucial role as the Operational Risk SME in Program Diamond to ensure the risk framework design is fit for purpose. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and challenging risk/RiC assessments, adequacy, and effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies, controls, and action plans implemented by 1st line teams.

Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of key risk indicators, risk control metrics, and performance dashboards to monitor our operational risk exposure.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in Operational Risk management within the finance and banking industry.
  • A solid understanding of relevant laws and regulations, industry codes, standards, prudential requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in building risk and compliance maturity and capability across the first and second lines of defence.
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to build effective workplace relationships.
  • Proficient in executing change management activities.
