Business Development and Bid Manager ANZ/VIC Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development and Bid Manager to join our team at Pini Group. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the civil engineering sector, with a focus on underground engineering and associated civil engineering disciplines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Researching the market to understand government funding focus, industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential clients in the target markets.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, potential clients, designers, and industry professionals to cultivate business opportunities.
- Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings.
- Working closely with our technical team to ensure technical expertise and business development are aligned.
As a Business Development and Bid Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a long-term relationship with new and existing clients, providing updates on project progress, and addressing any concerns or issues. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for additional services to existing clients and collecting client feedback and insights to enhance the company's service offerings and improve operational efficiency.
Key qualifications include:
- Proven experience in business development and bid management within the local construction and engineering industry.
- Well-connected with local clients and contractors.
- Strong understanding of the engineering aspects of underground engineering, and familiarity with other relevant civil engineering disciplines (geotechnical, structural, or energy/hydropower).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in communication and proposal writing.
