**General Medicine and Geriatric Services Leader**

We are seeking a senior clinical leader to provide expert guidance in General Medicine and Geriatric services at Royal Darwin and Palmerston Regional Hospitals.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing acute general medical inpatients, leading and mentoring a large team of junior doctors, contributing to Geriatric services across Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE), Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM), and Interim Care wards, and supporting specialized areas such as orthogeriatrics, falls prevention, and remote consultation services.

  • Assess, investigate, and manage complex patient care plans.

  • Mentor and guide junior doctors to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care and hospital operations.

  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold:

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General and/or Geriatric Medicine.

  • Equivalent overseas specialist qualifications.
