
Strategic Health and Wellbeing Leader

Perth Airport is a major aviation hub in Western Australia, serving as a key driver of economic growth and social connection. The airport operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing essential services to the community and facilitating travel to destinations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of holistic health and wellbeing strategies aligned with Perth Airport's safety and business goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering programs that support physical, mental, and psychosocial health across the organization.
- Monitoring compliance with health and safety legislation and proactively managing wellbeing risks and hazards.
- Providing expert guidance on matters such as mental health, workplace hygiene, ergonomics, and psychosocial safety.
- Collaborating with internal teams and contractors to integrate health best practices and foster a culture of care.
- Conducting audits, pulse checks, and data analysis to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Championing employee engagement through tailored training, education, and communications initiatives.
- Preparing and delivering clear and impactful reports to inform decision-making and organizational planning.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A tertiary qualification in Health and Wellbeing, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field, with 5+ years' experience in a complex operational environment.
- Proven expertise in wellbeing strategy, psychosocial risk management, incident investigation, and workplace health programs.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant health, hygiene, and safety legislation and standards (e.g., WHS, CASA).
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, educate, and build trusted relationships.
- Collaborative and consultative approach to working with stakeholders at all levels, including contractors and business units.
