Job Description:

The role of bridge engineer involves managing and maintaining infrastructure, ensuring the longevity and safety of structures. This entails collaborating with diverse teams to investigate, design, procure, and construct maintenance schemes.

Key responsibilities include designing detailed maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and preparing deviations from standard procedures when necessary.

The engineer will also produce reports, investigations, feasibility studies, and assessments, work closely with internal teams and subcontractors, and prepare tender documents and construction packages.

Additionally, they will support commercial teams with evaluations and contract awards, procure and supervise maintenance works, work with environmental specialists to ensure environmental screening and mitigation measures, and adhere to health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Experience in civil engineering design
  • Professional qualification or working towards membership of a relevant professional body
