**Transport Infrastructure Inspector**

This position is a key opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of transportation infrastructure across Western Australia.

As an experienced Transport Infrastructure Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of timber bridges to identify potential defects and recommend repair or replacement options.

Working closely with our client Main Roads WA, this role requires a high level of self-motivation, discipline, and initiative. You must be able to work independently and as part of a small team environment.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with MRWA policy and procedures.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking bridge inspections, including visual inspections, drilling, measurements, and reporting;
  • Identifying defects on timber bridges and assembling inventory and condition information;
  • Maintaining daily records for activities associated with bridge inspection activities;
  • Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of appropriate safety management systems;
  • Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of traffic management on site;

**Key Requirements:**

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience with an engineering or trade background;
  • Willingness to learn asset inspection techniques and reporting requirements;
  • High levels of self-discipline, self-motivation, energy, and initiative;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a small team environment and show good interpersonal skills;
  • Good level of written, verbal, and numeracy skills;
  • Western Australian drivers license; Construction white card;

**Training and Certification:**

  • Senior First Aid certification;
  • High Risk Certification EWP (over 11m);
  • Defensive driving & 4x4 driving course;
  • Working at Heights;
  • Basic Worksite Traffic Management;
  • Skippers boat license;
