Are you a strategic information management professional looking for a challenging role in the public sector? We are seeking an experienced Senior Information Manager to lead our organization's information governance strategy, ensuring the effective and secure management of both electronic and physical records.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing our information and records management program, aligning systems and practices with best-practice standards and business needs. This includes developing and implementing our information strategy and roadmap, managing and maintaining robust information management systems, policies, and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's information strategy and roadmap, enabling efficient storage, access, sharing, and disposal of records in line with state records guidelines.
  • Managing and maintaining robust information management systems, policies, and processes, including the information asset register, to assess information value and mitigate risks to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Establishing and communicating standards for data classification and taxonomies to ensure consistent and effective information retrieval.
  • Identifying opportunities for system enhancements and leading the development of strategies to improve information system performance.
  • Planning and executing data collection activities across organizational systems, ensuring compliance with business, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in information technology, information management, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with records/content management systems and information retrieval.
  • A strategic mindset and technical expertise to drive improvements in information governance.
  • Experience in Microsoft SharePoint and Purview would be advantageous.
