Executive Support Role Overview

This full-time ongoing hybrid role is part of the Governance and Executive Support branch at The Administrative Review Tribunal.

  • Reports to the Director Executive Support and provides a range of executive support to Jurisdictional Area Leaders and List Leaders of the Tribunal.
  • Supports key events, including Tribunal Advisory Committee meetings, adhoc reporting, preparation of briefs, presentations and speaking notes, travel arrangements and a range of administrative support.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to manage and implement change, generate new ideas and approaches, and promote a positive approach to dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity.

A strong communicator with the ability to communicate sensitive and complex information clearly and with confidence and tact.

Establishes and maintains productive relationships with senior stakeholders, work collaboratively to identify opportunities and achieve outcomes, and manages sensitive issues effectively.

Thinks strategically, provides expert advice, and exercises sound judgement in a complex and changing environment.

Delivers results, successfully leads or delivers complex projects, develops creative solutions, and manages risks appropriately.

Leads and manages a team, cultivates a culture of collaboration, and models standards of behaviour consistent with APS Values, APS Employment Principles and APS Code of Conduct.

Has a sound understanding, or the ability to quickly acquire a sound understanding, of the Tribunal's legislative and policy context, particularly in relation to the delivery of administrative support services to diverse users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Director Executive Support
