About us

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission works to improve the lives of older people by maintaining the integrity of the aged care system.

We are a national regulator that safeguards and protects older Australians receiving aged care services.

The team supports our Regulatory Operations Division by undertaking quality assurance activities and providing recommendations for improvements.

The team prepares and maintains process documents, provides division-specific system support, and manages ROD system improvement requirements and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and continuously improve operational process documents to ensure compliance with legislative frameworks.
  • Contribute to the development and review of Commission-wide policies and resources, incorporating operational insights and stakeholder perspectives.
  • Maintain various registers, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with recordkeeping standards.
  • Develop subject matter expertise and interpret relevant legislation, providing analysis and guidance on their implications for ROD operations.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for process-related information and resources, exercising sound judgement and discretion.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and promote teamwork.
  • Identify opportunities for innovative ways of working, evaluating and implementing improvements to enhance operational efficiency and clarity.
  • Manage workflow and priorities independently, maintaining accurate records and timely delivery of work outputs.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
