Purpose of the Role

This role plays a crucial part in driving strategies, programs, and initiatives that promote the attraction, development, and retention of First Nations and culturally diverse peoples at the AFL.

The Talent Acquisition Lead will work closely with stakeholders to deliver on the employment initiatives outlined in our First Nations Employment & Engagement Strategy, Gender Equity Action Plan & Cultural Diversity Plan.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of initiatives to increase diverse representation at the AFL.
  • Support hiring leaders through tailored recruitment processes for diverse applicants.
  • Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline and train hiring leaders on inclusive recruitment practices.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in human resources or recruitment and experience in implementing diversity strategies that prioritise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The role requires exceptional communication skills and attention to detail, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for fostering a culture of belonging within the organisation.
