
Talent Acquisition and Diversity Lead

The AFL is seeking a purpose-driven individual to lead the development and implementation of initiatives that promote diverse representation.
The ideal candidate will have experience in human resources or recruitment, with a strong track record in implementing diversity strategies that prioritize Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The role involves building and maintaining a robust talent pipeline, training hiring leaders on inclusive recruitment practices, and developing stakeholder relationships.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving strategies, programs, and initiatives that promote the attraction, development, and retention of First Nations and culturally and linguistically diverse peoples at the AFL.

- Lead the development and implementation of initiatives to increase diverse representation at the AFL.
- Support hiring leaders through tailored recruitment processes for diverse applicants.
- Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline and train hiring leaders on inclusive recruitment practices.
- Work with People Business Partners to identify targeted departments and roles for First Nations, culturally diverse, and women candidates.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, both internal (People Team, hiring leaders) and external (candidates, community organizations, universities, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander organizations).

- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and build strong, productive relationships across the business and externally.
