Job Title: Workplace Health and Safety Professional
We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Health and Safety Professional to lead the development of initiatives that promote a safety-first mindset across all services. This is a key leadership role that will shape and champion a safety culture across multiple work sites.
The successful candidate will thrive on collaboration, innovation, and delivering real results. They will lead the strategic direction and operational execution of our workplace health and safety programs.
This position requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence individuals at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, and facilitating safety audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
- Provide training and education to employees on workplace health and safety procedures and best practices.
- Monitor and report on trends in incident data and workers' compensation claims.
Requirements:
- Rlevant formal qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety (e.g., Diploma or Certificate IV in WHS, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in a WHS leadership or management role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, and facilitating safety audits.
