Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary medical care team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing counselling services in the Immigration Detention Facility through assessment, case formulation and case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate group sessions on mental health topics
- Provide health promotion education and activities
- Assessment, counselling and casework services including support and referral services
- Organise excursions or other activities for the well-being of the population
- Accurate, precise and concise documentation
Requirements:
- Full working rights in Australia
- Relevant qualifications and experience in counselling, social welfare, education or social sciences
- 3 years experience in counselling services, case management and case coordination in mental health settings
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid Certificate
