Perinatal Mental Health Consultant

">
  • Provide a consultation-liaison service to women with mental health problems who are inpatients or outpatients, supported and supervised by your supervising consultant.
  • Assess and manage antenatal and postnatal patients, gynaecology, oncology and other women's health patients.
  • Work with other staff/units to provide advice, consultation and support to assist in the care of women with mental health problems.

About This Role

">
  • Registered as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Have at least 18 months experience working as a junior doctor in a public teaching hospital.
  • Preferably have worked in an emergency setting (e.g., emergency department).
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently (with supervision).
