Job Role Overview

This role involves handling a range of Human Resources activities, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. As an HR Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment processes, from sourcing candidates to negotiating offers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment support including candidate screening, interviewing, and conducting background checks.
  • Onboarding activities such as contract creation, site inductions, and ensuring new employees have the necessary resources for a smooth start.
  • Maintaining candidate pipelines and engaging with external providers for overseas recruitment and visa processes.
  • Supporting employee relations matters, including enterprise bargaining agreements and union interactions.
  • Driving initiatives to enhance employee engagement and strengthen the organization's employer value proposition (EVP).
  • Playing a key role in the implementation and adoption of the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) across multiple sites.
About You:
  • Degree-qualified in HR, Law, Business, or a related field, with experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of the Australian visa system and overseas recruitment practices is beneficial.
  • Solid knowledge of employment relations and industrial law, ideally within manufacturing, mining, or related industries.
  • A confident advisor with strong influencing skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Passionate about promoting positive workplace culture and employee wellbeing.
  • A proactive self-starter with a drive to achieve results.
