Generalist People & Culture Advisor Role

Darwin based, this role is diverse and no day is the same. Your broad skillset and experience will set you up for success.

We are a leading organization operating successful businesses emphasising local employment, training, career pathways, customer service, and safety across 27 remote locations in the Northern Territory and Queensland.

As a key member of our high performing People & Culture team, your role as a Generalist People & Culture Advisor will be providing HR & IR support and services to the Team, including specialist advice, project management, training and coaching services and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee onboarding, development and training
  • Policy interpretation and documentation
  • Compensation and benefits administration
  • Employee welfare and wellbeing
  • Employee services and counselling
  • Employee Relations/Performance Management
  • Employee engagement

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years exp at an Advisor/Business Partner level
  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources &/or CPHR
  • Experience gained in a multi-divisional organisation or professional services firm (eg. accounting and/or engineering)
  • Solid generalist P&C| HR experience covering a wide range of issues from operational and strategic perspectives
  • Proven experience in employee and industrial relations matters
  • Experience working with business owners/executive team
  • Project management experience ideal
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels and a strong client service focus
  • Strong 'hands on' HR style with the ability to instil confidence and influence others
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
  • 'Team player' ethos and have a high level of discretion, integrity and commitment to our values and standards
  • Initiative and a proactive approach
