Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Property Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our Property Section, you will be responsible for managing and planning the administration of Council's property assets, providing advice on Native Title, Land Rights, and Crown Land matters, and supporting the Statutory Property Manager in providing advice across complex property projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice on property-related matters, including native title, land rights, and crown land management;
  • Managing property transactions and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies;
  • Supporting the development and implementation of property strategies and plans;
  • Collaborating with other sections and external stakeholders to achieve Council's goals and objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A formal tertiary qualification in a property-related discipline, such as conveyancing;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing property transactions and providing expert advice on property-related matters;
  • Native Title Manager Certification or willingness to obtain;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
