Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,125 - $100,193, based on a 35-hour week plus 11.5% superannuation and a retention allowance.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and administering Council's property assets in accordance with best practice and statutory compliance principles. This role requires a high level of professionalism, service delivery, and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice to Council on Native Title, Land Rights, and Crown Land matters to facilitate operational needs
  • Adhere to policy and procedures relating to statutory document management
  • Support the Statutory Property Manager in providing advice across complex, multi-disciplined, and simultaneous property projects
  • Provide specialist/technical services or provide specialist advice to aid the complete assignment of projects in consultation with other professional staff
  • Responsible for statutory property matters including road and reserve naming, road closures, status searches, and creation of easements
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in a property-related discipline such as Conveyancing
  • Native Title Manager Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Demonstrated experience in managing property transactions
