About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud-native infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability.

The Senior Cloud Engineer will play a key role in designing and delivering scalable platform solutions, supporting the deployment and operation of business-critical applications. This person will work closely with engineering teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure infrastructure meets the security, compliance, and performance needs of the business.

The scope of work includes designing and implementing cloud infrastructure (AWS), managing Kubernetes and ECS platforms, automating infrastructure provisioning, supporting container-based application deployments, and driving continuous improvement of platform reliability and developer experience. This role may also involve contributing to cross-agency platform initiatives, enhancing observability, and providing mentorship to other engineers in the team.

This position requires advanced experience in AWS ecosystem – in addition GCP and Azure would be highly desirable. Experience in Infrastructure as Code – CDK, CloudFormation and Terraform is also essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise working within the AWS ecosystem, with hands-on experience across a wide variety of services including ECS, EKS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, CloudFront, WAF, Secrets Manager, RDS, DynamoDB, and Transit Gateway.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience with modern DevOps methodologies, including GitOps, ChatOps, and DevSecOps, and a strong understanding of infrastructure automation and reliability principles. Deep experience in designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in a cloud environment is also required. Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms is highly desirable.

A solid understanding of cloud networking (VPC, DNS, routing) and experience managing Linux systems, backups, patching, certificates, and shell scripting is necessary. Additionally, experience in Infrastructure as Code CDK, CloudFormation and Terraform is required.
