Job Description
Viva Energy Australia is looking for a Platform Technical Lead to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of our Azure cloud environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a team of engineers, shape our cloud strategy, and collaborate across the business to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement resilient, secure cloud architectures on Azure
- Manage compute resources, containers, and serverless services
- Drive cloud integration with on-prem and external platforms
- Lead automation and DevOps practices using IaC tools like Terraform and Azure DevOps
- Optimize performance and cost across cloud services
- Define and deliver a strategic roadmap aligned with business goals
- Mentor engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cloud engineering or technical leadership across hybrid enterprise environments
- Deep expertise in Azure (bonus: AWS, GCP), infrastructure, and automation
- Strong experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
- Skilled in scripting (PowerShell, Python), cloud security, and performance tuning
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and deliver complex cloud solutions
- Retail experience is a plus
