About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced transaction banker to join our team as a Business Development Director - Government. As a key member of our Institutional Bank and Markets segment, you will be responsible for executing the Transaction Banking business development strategy and working closely with customers and stakeholders to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate new-to-bank transaction banking mandates and retain strategic government clients
  • Develop and maintain client relationships with treasury and state/federal government agencies to understand their payments and cash management needs
  • Lead deal teams to respond to transaction banking tenders and proposal requests
  • Collaborate with relationship coverage teams to develop and maintain client plans for key targets
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory developments, and market changes to inform business decisions
Requirements
  • Transaction banking government experience at a major domestic bank
  • Business development or solution consulting experience
  • Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and a track record of achieving revenue targets
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and negotiation skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
