**Job Overview:**

The Sunshine Coast is one of Australia's most desirable regional tourism destinations, renowned for its natural beauty, active lifestyle and vibrant communities.

We are seeking a strategic and driven professional to help us deliver our 'Major Events Strategy'. This role is central to identifying, attracting and servicing major events staged on the Sunshine Coast, with the goal of maximising economic, promotional, and social benefits for our destination and community.

This includes managing all stages of the event sponsorship lifecycle for new and existing events from initial discussions through to contracting, leveraging, execution and acquittal.

  • Identify new event opportunities for the region
  • Develop and implement projects designed to increase the region's recognition as a premier destination for Major Events

As someone who has gained valuable insight, knowledge and experience within the tourism and event industries, you will be ready to hit the ground running to manage a large portfolio of events.

**Requirements:**
