Job Overview

We're looking for a highly skilled Digital Community Manager to boost our online presence across all digital platforms.

You'll be responsible for bringing one of Australia's most iconic destinations to life online, sharing stories that inspire and connect with our audience, while showcasing the wonder of Hamilton Island with the world.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role where creativity meets strategy, and your ideas will make a significant impact.

  • Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a social media content calendar across all Hamilton Island channels.

  • Be the warm, helpful, and consistent brand voice in comments, direct messages, and tagged content.

  • Build an active, positive community while escalating potential issues when needed.

  • Monitor performance, track metrics, and provide regular insights and recommendations.

  • Stay ahead of trends, algorithms, and emerging platform features to maximise reach.

  • Support campaigns, events, and influencer collaborations to drive engagement and awareness.

About You

As a creative, tech-savvy storyteller, you know how to turn moments into meaningful brand experiences. You thrive in fast-paced environments, keep a sharp eye on detail, and have a deep understanding of social media's ever-changing landscape.

Key qualifications include:

  • Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in social media and community management (tourism or lifestyle brands ideal).

  • Strong understanding of platform mechanics, algorithms, and content best practices.

  • Proficiency in Meta Business Suite, Later, and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator).

  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills - quick, clear, and on-brand.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities with ease.
