Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in supporting individuals with work-related injuries or illnesses. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping people return to their normal activities, including work and daily life.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where every day is different. You will have the chance to engage in formal and experiential training to develop your skills and confidence in your role. Your responsibilities will include assessing client needs, developing strategies for safe returns to pre-injury activities, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessments: Conduct assessments such as initial assessments, functional capacity evaluations, early intervention, home, worksite, and ergonomic assessments, as well as vocational assessments.
  • Strategies and Interventions: Develop and implement strategies for safe returns to pre-injury activities, taking into account individual client needs and goals.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with clients, their treating health practitioners, employers, and insurers to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
Additional Responsibilities

You will also be responsible for conducting Activities of Daily Living Assessments and Support Needs Assessments. In these roles, you will assess individuals' personal, domestic, and community ADLs, identify recommendations for services, support, and/or assistive equipment, and educate clients and injured workers on recommended support and equipment.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: Full registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and Allied Health Qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Skills and Experience: A passion for injury prevention, facilitation of return to independence at work and at home, and a desire to make a difference. Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to delivering what you say you will and when you will.
