Key Role:

Seeking a seasoned software engineer to lead the development of an electronic Interest Rate Swaps (eIRS) trading platform. This senior engineering position demands in-depth expertise in Java, distributed systems, and financial market technologies.

The successful candidate will architect and implement mission-critical components including RFQ workflows, pricing integration, trade execution logic, and dealer UIs. They will collaborate with quants, traders, and technologists at a top-tier investment bank to drive cutting-edge trading system development.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of an in-house built application for electronic trading of IRS products
  • Design and implement RFQ state machines, pricing event wiring, and override messaging logic
  • Deliver full support for voice trading workflows, including integration with Straight Through Processing (STP)
  • Drive industrialisation of the eIRS engine, managing timing issues and race conditions
  • Collaborate with quant teams to integrate core pricing models for short-end curve instruments and relative value analytics
