Aboriginal Transition Specialist

The Case Manager will be part of a dedicated team supporting Aboriginal women and trans and gender diverse individuals transitioning from prison.
- Developing culturally responsive transition plans
- Providing intensive case management and support services
- Collaborating with internal and external partners, including Corrections Victoria
- Enhancing sector capability through co-work, secondary consultation, and reflective practice
- Fostering the social and emotional wellbeing of clients through advocacy and culturally grounded support
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation, understanding of cultural protocols, kinship systems, and the unique experiences of Aboriginal women, families and communities. They will also have experience delivering culturally safe, trauma-informed case management and advocacy, as well as knowledge of MARAM, FVISS, CISS frameworks.
