Transition and Peer Support Specialist

The successful candidate will design and implement peer mentoring and transition programs tailored to the needs of commencing students. Key areas include developing and delivering inclusive, culturally safe, and accessible transition experiences for diverse student cohorts.

This role involves collaborating with academic and professional staff to support the successful orientation and transition of students into their courses. The ideal candidate will have a degree with subsequent relevant experience or extensive experience and specialist knowledge in technical or administrative fields.

A key aspect of this position is supporting the development and delivery of innovative transition initiatives that enhance student engagement and outcomes. This includes working closely with colleagues to identify opportunities to improve student experience and develop strategies to address challenges faced by students.

Administrative experience working within a large organisation with formal administrative structures, policies, and procedures, preferably in a tertiary educational institution, is highly desirable.
