**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Community Development Specialist. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the implementation and monitoring of our Aboriginal Employment Plan, aiming to increase Aboriginal employment, leadership, and retention.

**Key Responsibilities**

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of strategies to increase Aboriginal employment and retention;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement;
  • Providing guidance and support to employees to enhance their skills and career development;

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be considered for this position, you will require:

  • Is of Aboriginal descent;
  • Identifies as an Aboriginal person;
  • Accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community;
  • Certificate IV in Human Resources or Training and Assessment or relevant experience;
  • Strong understanding of the Aboriginal culture and issues affecting communities in Central Australia;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport and engage with stakeholders;
  • Credible and ethical work approach;
  • Demonstrated ability to apply sound organisational and time management skills;
  • High level of motivation and ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment;
