We are seeking a Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to provide cultural advice, advocacy and intervention to support Aboriginal people experiencing social, emotional and wellbeing concerns.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Mental Health Crisis Assessment Team to deliver high-quality services and make a positive impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide cultural advice and advocacy to support Aboriginal people presenting with social, emotional and wellbeing concerns;
- Collaborate with the Mental Health Crisis Assessment Team to develop and implement strategies to address mental health needs;
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote culturally safe and effective service delivery;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of Aboriginal cultures and histories;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- High-level problem-solving and analytical skills;
