About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ERP Finance and Procurement Platform Specialist to join our team at Transurban. As a key member of our finance and procurement team, you will be responsible for providing functional application, process, and configuration support for finance and procurement within our Workday system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main interface between the ERP support team and functional areas, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Represent the functional teams in designing and implementing improved or new functionality, leveraging your expertise to drive business outcomes.
  • Support the optimization of our platform through strong working relationships with business stakeholders, Product Owners, vendors, and by staying up-to-date with industry learnings and best practices.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and upskill on Workday and associated third-party systems, ensuring our systems are always running at optimal levels.
  • Manage vendor release activities, ensuring timely and effective implementation of new features and functionality.
  • Own end-to-end functionality and manage all ERP configuration changes, ensuring compliance with business requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with application management services (AMS) to govern system configuration changes and support critical business processes, ensuring our systems are always running smoothly.
  • Serve as an escalation point for user queries and share specialist knowledge, providing expert guidance and support to our team members.
Requirements
  • Strong functional and technical expertise in ERP systems, particularly Workday.
  • Finance or Procurement experience within Workday, or Adaptive experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial and procurement processes, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience in implementing ERP roadmaps and strategies, driving business outcomes and process improvements.
  • Proficiency in working within an agile delivery framework, ensuring our team is always aligned and working towards common goals.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with ERP teams, product owners, and vendors, building strong relationships and driving business outcomes.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and enthusiasm for upskilling, staying up-to-date with industry learnings and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and drive business outcomes.
  • Experience in managing and governing system configuration changes, ensuring compliance with business requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests, ensuring our systems are always running smoothly.
  • Commitment to ensuring compliance and operational excellence, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and driving business outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or industry certification desired (e.g., Workday Financial Management and/or Workday Procurement).
